Webcast featuring Louis Llanes, CFA, CMT - Louis is the founder of Wealthnet Investments, an investment management firm serving private clients. The firm is in the process of launching Llanes Research, a financial publication service providing independent research leading to actionable trading and investment strategies for subscribers. In 1997, Louis served as a Senior Portfolio Manager for the US Bank Private Client Reserve, and an Investment Consultant for Kemper Securities. Early in his career he worked as a Financial Analyst for Intellogic Trace, a spin-off of DataPoint.
Louis holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. He earned an MBA at the University of Denver and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado in Denver. Louis is a contributing author in “The Handbook of Risk” published by John Wiley, and has written whitepapers about investment management issues for practitioners. Louis has held chair positions for the Colorado chapter of the Institute for Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician’s Association.
Topic - This webcast will walk through how portfolio managers can incorporate quantitative technical analysis to determine portfolio construction, position sizing, and risk management. A high-level framework explaining technical factors of return, risk, and diversification will be presented with the goal of generating target security weights, tolerance bands, and trading actions.
