Topic - Best Practices for Developing Traders
Dr. Steenbarger will discuss with us some of the Best Practices for newer traders, to help them overcome mistakes that they may make, and the things that they can do which can aid in leading them to successful trading.
Bio:
Brett N. Steenbarger, Ph.D. is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he trains psychology interns and psychiatry residents in brief psychotherapies. He is the co-editor of a standard reference text in the area of brief therapy and has written more than 50 peer reviewed articles in the area. Brett uses these methods in his coaching of traders and portfolio managers at hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and other money management organizations. He has authored four books in the area of trading psychology and has written the TraderFeed blog (www.traderfeed.blogspot.com) for over ten years. He is currently writing a book on the topic of psychology and spirituality and authors a regular column for Forbes online. Brett's interests include travel and time spent with five children, six grandchildren, and three rescue cats.
