Topic: Time in Technical Analysis Many have practiced Technicals for years largely based on price analysis alone, but time remains a very useful but underappreciated part of technical analysis. When utilizing the methods of Gann, Demark, and even Fibonacci tools, combining time elements with price can add to the probability of success when trying to time turns in the market. Furthermore, time factors allow one to have added confidence when other Price-only based indicators are suggesting a turn could be imminent. In this discussion, we’ll dissect some of the more lesser utilized ways which time can be used in one’s analysis to pinpoint changes of trend, which largely focuses on counter-trend analysis.
