Best practices in managing option positions

Instructor: Patrick Ceresna

This session is for traders whose knowledge is beyond the options basics. For most traders, opening an options position is easy. Their concerns focus on the subsequent steps. What to do when it is earnings season or an expected dividend payment is coming up? When to close the position and what to do if the trade goes against you? All these questions will be answered by the speaker. He will share with you his method and what to look out for. He will also explain the best practices from top option traders.

Selling options to generate income and more

Instructor: Jason Ayres

This session is offered to you by an options specialist from a Portfolio Management firm using options to generate income on a day-to-day basis. He will show you how he sets up his options writing program to generate consistent income. Best of all, he will also demonstrate that writing options can also be a way to get in a stock that you would like to own and even a way to sell a stock that you already have. Traders who learn this strategy will never trade the stock market the same way again.

2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Coffee break

Increase your edge by using high probability option trades

Instructor: Patrick Ceresna

Option traders have sharp and calculating minds. Most of them have a good understanding of odds and probabilities of making a profit. Some option trades have a higher probability of expiring in-the-money and some of being worthless. In this session, the speaker will show you how you can easily combine statistical facts with various option strategies to your advantage. The focus of this session is to help you understand how to identify these option trades that could give you a higher probability of profit.

3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (common room)

Lightning round of questions for the speakers

All speakers and Richard Ho Moderating

At the end of the day, you are successfully equipped to become an options trader. But what if there are some lingering questions that you forgot to ask or did not get a chance to ask. Do not worry, during the lightning round, you have a second chance to seek your answers in person or by email throughout the conference by writing to oed@tmx.com.
