    Trader – ETFs, Equity, Fixed-Income The Trader position is responsible for executing trading flow for a team of Portfolio Managers. The position will also be responsible for ensuring client portfolios are on model, liaise with portfolio managers, maintaining approved trading lists, and portfolio models and performance calculations. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the position will be responsible for timely trade execution of ETF, equity and fixed-income securities through direct market access and dealer trading desks. The ideal candidate will have some trading experience and be a CFA or CMT candidate.

    Execute and advise on trades in global markets for both Institutional and Private Client accounts while evaluating market risk and liquidity profiles for global equities.  Understand and communicate basic fundamental flow and liquidity analysis on our global holdings to the PM and research teams in a timely and effective manner;  A basic understanding of market structure in Canada, and the U.S. Market structure knowledge in Europe and Asia would be considered an asset;  Develop, maintain and build strong relationships with global broker networks, along with other counterparties to educate them on our investment and trading strategy;  Provide intraday and end of day updates on existing orders;  Work on ad-hoc projects to improve functionality and processes on the trading desk;  Liaison with operations to ensure timely settlement of all global equity trades;  Learn/understand global market trading rules and reporting requirements and look for ways to improve our processes.

    Education & Skills  Undergraduate or post-graduate degree  CFA completion or enrolment  CMT completion or enrolment  Familiarity with Bloomberg, iBalance, Pure Facts, Croesus, Excel  Critical thinking in high pressure situation  Strong verbal communication skills Qualifications  Some trading experience  Positive referral from previous employer if possible  Desire for self-improvement with a competitive and winning attitude  Ability to multi-task and make effective, timely decisions
